Daria Deflorian (born in Tesero, 24 November 1959) graduated at DAMS-spettacolo with a dissertation on the Theatre of Images in Italy, and got a diploma at Scuola di Teatro di Bologna directed by Alessandra Galante Garrone.
She studied Acting and text analysis with Domenic De Fazio; Performance technique with Mamadou Dioume; Dancing with Fabrizio Monteverde, Giovanna Summo, Georg Blaschke; Japanese Buto with Masaki Iwana; Voice with Roy Hart, Caterina Kroeger, Gabriella Bartolomei, deepening her work with Laura Curino and Danio Manfredini.
On her own initiative and thanks to a teamwork of artists, she promotes cultural enterprises, theatre projects, local performances (a few examples: Piccoli Poemi d’Azione, together with Georg Blaschke, from Pier Paolo Pasolini’s figures of the humble, 1995/6; E il corpo c’è, è c’è, e c’è, a performance from a poem by Wislawa Szymborska, 1997; Manovre di volo, a performance inspired by Daniele Del Giudice’s “Staccando l’ombra da terra”, 2002/3; Torpignattara .. ma ho voglia di venire ai fiori freely taken from P. P. Pasolini’s “Petrolio”, 2004/5).
